Day 1: Arrival in Ahmedabad

Our driver/representative will pick you up when you arrive in Ahmedabad. We’ll help you check into a comfortable hotel. Our first stop for today is the famous Gandhi Ashram, where we’ll learn about Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation, and his teachings.

Next, we’ll visit the impressive Akshardham Temple, a beautiful masterpiece of architecture and spirituality.  (*Remember that the temple is closed on Mondays)

 

Our next stop for today will be the stunning Dada Hari Ki Vav and Adalaj Step Well. The Dada Harir Stepwell is a breathtaking 15th-century water temple. It is a five-level intricately carved pillar with flawless symmetry, this architectural marvel stands as a testament to the artistic brilliance of its time. We’ll also visit the majestic Hate Sing Jain Temple before resting in our Ahmedabad hotel for the night.

 

Day 2: From Ahmedabad to Dwarka

Today, we’ll start our journey to the divine city of Dwarka after a delicious breakfast. We’ll travel about 480 kilometers, enjoying the scenic beauty of Gujarat.

Our first stop in Dwarka is the grand Dwarikadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple’s peaceful atmosphere will make you feel blessed. Afterward, we’ll check into a cozy hotel in Dwarka for a relaxing stay.

 

Day 3: Dwarka Sightseeing

Get ready for a day full of spiritual exploration in Dwarka. After a scrumptious breakfast, we’ll visit the sacred Gopi Talav and the ancient Nageshwar Temple, devoted to Lord Shiva.

 

Our next stop is the serene Rukamani Temple, followed by a visit to Bet Dwarka, an island fondly known as Shankhodhar, the sacred abode believed to have been the dwelling place of Lord Krishna during his reign in Dwarka. Its name, “Bet,” meaning “gift,” has a fascinating origin tale. Legend has it that Lord Krishna received this divine land as a cherished present from his dear friend Sudama, adding to the enchanting allure of this hallowed site. We’ll spend the night in our Dwarka hotel, surrounded by divine blessings.

 

Day 4: From Dwarka to Somnath

Today, we’ll head to Somnath, a city of history and spirituality. Our journey covers about 250 kilometers, and we’ll start with a visit to the historical city of Porbandar. In Porbandar, we’ll explore the Kirti and Sudama Temple, each with fascinating stories to tell. Our adventure continues with a visit to the Sandipani Ashram before reaching Somnath.

 

In Somnath, we’ll witness the awe-inspiring Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. We won’t miss the Light and Sound Show before we rest for the night in our Somnath hotel.

 

Day 5: From Somnath to Sasangir

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll journey around 45 kilometers to reach Sasangir. Prepare for an exciting wildlife experience as we explore the Diwaliya Park (please note, it’s closed on Wednesdays).

 

Next, we’ll venture into the Gir National Park, home to the majestic Asiatic lions. Keep your eyes wide open for glimpses of these incredible creatures! After a hearty dinner, we’ll stay overnight in our Sasangir hotel.

 

Day 6: From Sasangir to Diu

Prepare for a day of coastal bliss as we travel about 110 kilometers to Diu. After breakfast, we’ll explore the fascinating Diu Fort, which offers panoramic sea views.

 

We will continue to the Diu Museum, learning about the island’s rich history. After this we will visit the serene Gangeshwar Temple and enjoy leisure time at Nagoa Beach. We’ll also explore the beautiful St. Paul’s Church before retiring for the night in our Diu hotel.

 

Day 7: Farewell Gujarat

Our incredible journey through Royal Gujarat ends as we head back to Ahmedabad. You will be dropped off at the airport/railway station for a further journey.
